HER JOURNEY

Don’t think of her as gone away,
her journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so much.

PRAYER # 147

[or HIS JOURNEY]

Lord, make me an instrument of

Thy peace.

Where there is hatred, let me

sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I

may not so much seek

to be consoled, as to console;

To be understood, as to understand;

To be loved, as to love;

For it is in giving that we receive;

It is pardoning that we are pardoned

And it is in dying, that we are

born to eternal life.

PRAYER # 118

I am the resurrection and the Life,

Saith the Lord: He that believeth in

me, though he were dead, yet shall

he live: and whosoever liveth and

believeth in me, shall never die.

I know that my redeemer liveth, and

that he shall stand at the latter day

upon the earth: and though his body

be destroyed, yet shall I see GOD:

whom I shall see for myself, and

mine eyes shall behold, and not as

a stranger. We brought nothing into

this world, and it is certain we can

carry nothing out. The LORD gave,

and the LORD hath taken away;

blessed be the name of the LORD.

PRAYER # 149

When you’re alone with Jesus

And he sweetly smiles on thee,

Will you gently whisper to Him

A little prayer for me?

And when I’m alone with Jesus

And all else is hid from view,

I’ll gently drop into His Sacred Heart

A little prayer for you.

PRAYER # 150

God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be,

so he put his arms around you,

and whispered "Come to me".

With tearful eyes we watched you,

and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working hands at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

PRAYER # 151

Time has taken me from you,

Although not very far.

I’ll be watching through the sunshine

And through the brightest star.

I’ll be watching all of you,

From the heavens up above.

So take good care of each other

And carry all my love.

If you’re ever wondering where I am,

here’s where you can start.

Take a look inside yourself

Deep within your heart.

PRAYER # 152

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone;

for part of us went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

your love is still our guide;

and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.

PRAYER # 153

A Bridge Called Love

It takes us back to brighter years

to happier sunlit days

and to precious moments

that will be with us always.

And these fond recollections

are treasured in the heart

to bring us always close to those

from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories

from earth to Heaven above...

it keeps our dear ones near us.

It's the bridge that we call love.

PRAYER # 154

Weep not for me though I am gone

Into the gentle night

Grieve if you will, but not for long

Upon my soul's sweet flight.

There is no need for tears.

I am at peace, my soul is at rest

There is no pain, I suffer not,

For with your love I was so blessed.

I am in a place of comfort

The fear now is gone.

Put those things in your thoughts,

In your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath

Remember not the strife

Please do not dwell upon my death

But celebrate my life.

PRAYER # 155

You can shed tears that she is gone or

you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray

that she’ll come back, or you can

open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because

you can’t see her, or you can be full

of the love you shared. You can

turn your back on tomorrow and

live yesterday, or you can be happy

for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that

she’s gone, or you can cherish her

memory and let it live on. You can

cry and close your mind, be empty

and turn your back, or you can do

what she’d want: smile, open your

eyes, love and go on.

PRAYER # 156

[She or He]

You never said "I’m leaving"

You never said goodbye

You were gone before I knew it,

And only God knew why.

A million times I needed you,

A million times I cried,

If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In Life I loved you dearly,

In death I love you still,

In my heart you hold a place

That no one could ever fill.

PRAYER # 157

There’s a place I’ve never seen

beyond this world we know.

A place I’ve only heard of

But someday hope to go.

It’s not on any map;

there are no roads to take me there.

But it’s a place of perfect peace

where hearts are free from care.

And though I understand some

may be saddened when I leave,

one day we will all meet again,

that’s what I believe.

When it’s time to travel there

I think I’ll wear a smile.

I’ll say goodbye to those I love,

but only for a while.

Knowing there are others who

have traveled there alone,

who cannot wait to greet me and

to whisper "Welcome home".

PRAYER # 158

Perhaps

Perhaps they are not

stars in the sky,

but rather openings

in heaven

where the love

of our lost ones

pours through and

shines down upon

us to let us know

they are happy.

PRAYER # 159

For every burden that we bear,

For every sorrow, every care,

There's a reason

For every grief that bows the head,

For every tear-drop that is shed,

There's a reason

For every lonely pain-racked night,

There's a reason

But if we trust God as we should,

All must work out for our good,

He knows the reason.

PRAYER # 160

Only A Mother Knows

How many cares

Does a mother’s heart know –

How many joys

Does a mother bestow?

How many heartwarming

things has she said –

How many tears

has she secretly shed?

How many smiles

has she given away –

How many kindnesses

Day after day?

How many prayers

Has she prayed for another?

Nobody really knows –

Only a mother!
